I live in a small town in a rural area. I am studying for my A levels and wish to study medicine at university. Since a young age, I have taken part in team sports and I was a member of my local and school football teams, enjoyed playing netball and was a keen gymnast. I like to go on long walks with my dog and do exercise classes at home keeping my mind and body healthy as well as giving me a break from studying.
During school holidays, my family often went camping in the UK and sometimes abroad. This gave me a great love of the outdoors and introduced me to new locations and experiences. I am adventurous and fun loving and enjoy challenging myself. I have taken part in many fun runs and I once cut off 12 inches of my hair to make wigs for young people going through chemotherapy. This shocked my hairdresser as I have had long hair since I was four years old!
I love working with people and as part of a team. I previously volunteered at a charity shop where I got to work and meet a large range of people. I am good at relating to people and like working collaboratively to find new and creative solutions. I am excited to start on a new journey with the youth advisory team, as I want young people everywhere to be able to grow and gain life skills no matter the background they come from.
