BTYA Peoples Choice Award 2018
YHA won the People’s Choice Award at the British Youth Travel Awards – thanks in no small part to the supporters who voted for us. We’re over the moon. A win like this helps put YHA on the map as a leading national charity for young people. So thank you.
School Travel Awards 2018/19
YHA has been awarded Best Residential Experience Provider at the School Travel Awards.
In 2017 almost 100,000 school children stayed on a YHA school trip.
Best Use of Search
Alongside our digital agency, Found, YHA won Best Use of Search in the Third Sector category at the European Search Awards 2018. This award recognises the sophistication of YHA’s search marketing which integrates paid and organic search, display banners and social media.
Best Marketing 2017
YHA achieved second place at the BYTA for the 48 hours campaign.
YHA received the Outstanding Achievement award at the British Youth Travel Awards in recognition of our 85 years working to help people explore, learn and travel throughout England and Wales.
Green Accommodation Initiative Finalist
Each year STAY WYSE recognises organisations that are committed to reducing their environmental impact and to making green travel an important part of their operational activities. YHA has several hostels which have been awarded finalist status.

Narrowly missing out on the Time Top 100 Best Companies, YHA achieved One to Watch status in 2015.

En-suite bathrooms, Wi-Fi and cool decor means that Guardian readers voted YHA the winner of the best UK hotel in 2014.

YHA were awarded the Best Experiential Marketing Award for the RunYHA event and campaign.
Innovation in Marketing
Yet another gong for the Live More Road Trip, YHA picked this one up at the Global Youth Travel Awards which celebrates excellence in youth, student and educational travel.

YHA reached number 69 in the Times Top 100 Best Not for Profit organisations to work for in 2013.
Investors in People Gold 2013/18
Investors in People champions best practice in people management and YHA has received their Gold accreditation through a rigorous and objective assessment to determine performance.
Women First Shine Award
Caroline White, YHA's Chief Executive was included in the Top 100 most influential women in leisure, tourism and hospitality in the 2013 Women First Shine Awards.
Best Marketing 2014
YHA were awarded the Best Marketing Award for the 2013 Live More Road Trip which saw an unsigned band take to the road in a camper van, gigging at YHAs along the way.
