I am currently studying psychology with sociology at Nottingham Trent University. I am highly passionate and purpose-driven and consider volunteering and giving back to the community as part of who I am.

I first got introduced to YHA at a volunteering fair and took a keen interest since. I hope to bring my determination, sincerity and enthusiasm to the team. I enjoy working with young people and hope to be an inspiration to them.

I have volunteered with the Laureus Sports for Good, which provides sports and activities centred around social action and self-development, in disadvantaged schools. I also recently became a virtual young person’s coach through a resilience programme called GRIT. At university I am a student mentor.

Not only am I passionate about young people but also with the elderly. I am a support worker and volunteer with the Royal Voluntary Service. I look forward to contributing my past experiences to YHA and helping to develop a goal-centred approach to help the young people not only have fun but have a purposeful experience during their visits to the hostels.

In my spare time, I enjoy digging deeper into my Christian Faith and writing poetry. I wrote an anthology with my friends in a writing, reading and pleasure programme at university which will be launched and published on World Poetry Day in 2021.
