Reena started her career with The Ramblers Association communications team, where she worked on campaigns including The Festival of Winter Walks. That experience continues to influence her career - championing inclusion and equal access to opportunities for everyone in our community.

Today, Reena works as a digital engagement consultant, developing communication and engagement strategies for charities, social enterprises, universities and other mission-led organisations. She works with senior leaders, boards and multidisciplinary teams to help teams clarify their goals, review their capabilities and empower them to continue delivering sustainable organisational change themselves. She also shares her expertise voluntarily through The Cranfield Trust.

Reena’s keen sense of travel and adventure stems from her first experience away from home, at age 11, at a Youth Hostel in Pembrokeshire with school. This experience ignited the confidence to continue exploring, and she’s since explored over 50 countries with plenty more still on the list. She is committed to helping YHA remain welcoming, inclusive and relevant to future generations.

Alongside her professional work, Reena has served as a trustee of the family maths charity, Maths on Toast and as a parent governor at West Hampstead Primary School, where she led fundraising to widen access to enrichment opportunities.

Now living in the city with her two children, she values opportunities to spend time together in the countryside. She is passionate about helping YHA remain welcoming, inclusive and relevant to future generations, and about ensuring those experiences are open to families and young people whatever their background.
