Mohammed Dhalech

Since 2005, Mohammed has been a Partner Associate in the Centre for Local Policy Studies at Edge Hill University.

Mohammed has worked both in the UK and internationally at a senior strategic level in the voluntary and public sectors including higher education, criminal justice and local government advising on a range of issues relating to human rights, and equality and diversity, with an interest in rurality and the countryside.

He has been actively involved in Youth Work at local, national and international level, particularly utilising the medium of non-formal education and outdoor education, and developing and facilitating training and seminars at an international level in developing Youth structures, Intercultural learning and Human Rights with a range of organisations, youth leaders and young people from across the world. He continues to be active in youth work locally as Joint chair of Cumbria Youth Alliance.

Mohammed’s interests include the countryside and encouraging wider access to the outdoors and National Parks which in involved with MOSAIC and Campaign for National Parks.

Mohammed enjoys living and working in Cumbria and the Lake District, and relaxes with Bollywood films, music and running Social Media Surgeries for communities to engage in Social Media  and manages a junior under 15 Cricket Team.
