About this opportunity

The Field Studies Council's one or two-day courses covered a huge range of topics, including plants, trees, fungi, invertebrates and animals. They were led by expert tutors at a number of locations around the UK.

Courses ranged from beginner to expert level, so whether participants were looking to dip their toes into a new environmental topic or were established ecologists looking to fine tune some identifications skills, we had the course for them!

Participants could choose to attend for the day, or stay overnight for a residential experience. This gave them the chance to really engage with their chosen topic, visit somewhere a bit further afield and build stronger relationships with others on the course.
