Rural Kent

Welcome to Kent

The gateway to England from Europe and the English Channel, Kent is one of the UK's most picturesque counties.

With London so near, yet feeling so far, Kent is the ideal spot for escaping the rat race and taking life's pace down a level. Fondly referred to as the Garden of England, the county is best known for its famous chalk clifftops, its quirky towns and villages and its pretty countryside.

There's nowhere in the world quite like London

Affectionately known as the Garden of England, Kent is known throughout the world for its blue flag beaches and glorious countryside, with over 180 gardens in the region. History lovers will also be wowed by the region's array of castles and cathedrals, with the villages of Chilham, Wye and Challock in particular offering a fantastic insight into traditional English life. Classic British country pubs are also commonplace, should you need to unwind after a long day's walking, while the county is also home to such attractions as Biddenden Vineyard and Turner Contemporary Art Gallery.
