Discovery and connection
Join Boots on Adventures, proud North Downs Way Ambassadors, for friendly and welcoming walk designed to introduce you to the outstanding countryside surrounding Canterbury. Starting from YHA Canterbury, we'll follow beautiful sections of the North Downs Way and Elham Valley Way, passing through orchards, rolling farmland, and the picturesque villages of Patrixbourne and Bekesbourne.
Along the route, we'll visit the remains of the medieval Well Chapel, dating back to before 1300, and enjoy the unique experience of walking above the elephant enclosure at Howletts Wild Animal Park. At around five hours, this relaxed-paced walk is ideal for both experienced walkers and those looking to enjoy one of their first longer countryside adventures.
Come and discover why the Kent Downs is one of England's finest walking landscapes, while meeting like-minded people and enjoying a memorable day on the trails.
