Places to stay in Eastbourne

This popular traditional seaside resort on the south coast lies at the eastern end of the South Downs range of chalk cliffs and hills including Beachy Head, the highest chalk cliff in southern England. For anyone looking to experience the archetypal British seaside holiday, Eastbourne's largely underdeveloped seafront offers a great snapshot of times gone by.

The town's golden beaches were made for buckets and spades, deckchairs and fish and chips, and fans of watersports will no doubt be thrilled by the array of activities on offer. Eastbourne and the surrounding area of East Sussex are also famed for its abundance of parks and forests.
