Did you know there were two previous Sheringham hostels before the current YHA Sheringham? High Kelling Youth Hostel was the first, opening in 1933 in the towns post office and tea rooms. In 1940, High Kelling shut its doors and became a private residence. Easter 1946, Sheringham Hillside Youth Hostel opened its doors for 29 years before becoming a private residence. The standing YHA Sheringham, which used to be a convent school and a children’s home, opened in 1975 and still operates to this day.
Adrian - a keen runner, walker (the dogs), and photographer. He's been Manager at Sheringham for last 15 years (been in YHA for over 30 years around the Country), getting to know the area really well. Going bald, supports Norwich City (or should that be the other way round!)
