Did you know there were two previous Sheringham hostels before the current YHA Sheringham? High Kelling Youth Hostel was the first, opening in 1933 in the towns post office and tea rooms. In 1940, High Kelling shut its doors and became a private residence. Easter 1946, Sheringham Hillside Youth Hostel opened its doors for 29 years before becoming a private residence. The standing YHA Sheringham, which used to be a convent school and a children’s home, opened in 1975 and still operates to this day.
Small friendly team with lots of local knowledge.
Manager recommends: Embracing the amazing Big Blue open skies, get up early to see magnificent sunrises and wander down to the beach in the evening to witness magical sunsets.
