Situated in the North York Moors National Park, YHA Osmotherley is just a short stroll from the quaint village of Osmotherley. If you want to go on a ramble, there are pretty walking trails including the Cleveland Way, Coast to Coast Walk and Lyke Wake Walk.

School groups can get stuck into shelter-building, nature trails and bushcraft zones with a campfire – ideal for marshmallow toasting – all within the hostel’s grounds. Older educational groups can delve into the rolling fells and explore ancient history including visits to landmarks such as the Carthusian Monastery, Mount Grace Priory and Lady Chapel.

Most of our bedrooms are dormitory style rooms with bunk beds. We always try to allocate bedrooms close together and will never ask your group to share bedrooms with anyone not in your group.

Upgrades are available for sole use of an area, floor or the entire place.

Shared spaces

This hostel provides plenty of social spaces for groups with a dining area, lounge, games room and classroom as well as bike storage and free Wi-Fi.

Group catering

With tasty breakfasts, lunches and evening meals, groups are sure to find something delicious to eat at YHA Osmotherley.

Reception opening hours: From 07:00 - 10:00 and 17:00 – 22:00.

Food and drink: Breakfast is served to guests daily from 07:45 - 09:00. Meals are also available from 17:00 - 21:00.

Self-catering: Guests have access to a self-catering kitchen.

Café and restaurant opening hours: YHA Osmotherley’s café and restaurant is open to the public from Monday - Sunday, 07:45 - 09:00 and 17:00 - 21:00, during peak season. It may be closed at other times of the year.

Parking: There is parking at the hostel.
