Refurbished to a high specification in 2012, the beautiful building boasts a range of private and dorm rooms, some of which are en-suite. YHA Grinton Lodge also has a gorgeous honeymoon suite complete with a free-standing roll top bath on the top floor – a great place to stay for couples or if you enjoy your privacy.
We have a spacious lounge and TV room, both of which are perfect for relaxing with their comfortable seating. Cosy up in front of a roaring fire during the winter months.
The self-catering kitchen is equipped with two cookers, two microwave ovens, a toaster, one fridge, and an extensive range of kitchen utensils, baking trays, crockery, and cutlery for guests to cook up their own storm.
For something a bit different, why not try YHA’s camping pods? There are five of them in the grounds of YHA Grinton Lodge. If you like camping but can’t stand the wind, rain and cold, then these heated wooden cabins are the perfect alternative. Great for holiday breaks, our Standard Pod sleeps two (on two single beds) and our Large Pod sleeps four/five (on one double and two single beds). There is a communal BBQ for guests to use and each pod has an individual decking area. Bring all your usual camping gear - apart from bedding as it's already included!
Get all the fun of camping but without any of the set up stresses with our beautiful bell tents - part of the YHA Glamping experience. These spacious tepee-like tents are fully kitted out with a double bed and three single beds plus all bedding and can sleep four/five people. They also have eco-friendly solar lighting and comfy bean bags for you to chill out on during the day plus bedside tables, a coffee table, rugs and soft flooring.
There are five bell tents at YHA Grinton Lodge and they're available to book for stays from May to September.
Please note that camping is sold per person and not per pitch and so, during the booking process, you will need to select the number of people that you wish to camp.
Grinton Lodge's camping area is in a fantastic location with gorgeous views over Swaledale and the village of Reeth. The campsite itself is large with space for up to eight pitches and is suitable for organised group holidays as well as family breaks.
