A converted linen mill located in idyllic countryside, YHA Osmotherley is perfectly situated for those wishing to explore the North Yorkshire Moors, Dales and the beautiful Yorkshire coastline.
The mill is surrounded by trails for walks and cycling, and is just a 10-minute walk from the picturesque village of Osmotherley, which offers pubs and shops popular with locals. Mount Grace Prior, Castle Howard, York, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Flamingo Land are all within striking distance of the hostel, meaning there’s plenty to keep you entertained all year round.
Dorm rooms have multiple beds and are shared with other people who may not be travelling together. They are usually more affordable than private rooms as you'll be booking a bed rather than the whole room.
A typical shared dorm room includes bunk beds, a reading light and a storage cupboard for each guest.
Children aged between 12 and 15 can stay in dorm rooms as long as an adult of the same gender accompanies them.
Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room. Some of our shared dorm rooms are en-suites, meaning that they have a bathroom that you would share with other guests who are also staying in the room.
Want some privacy? With a private room, you'll be booking the whole room for your stay.
Private rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus a wash hand basin.
Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room.
For added privacy, relax with your family, friends or by yourself in a private en-suite room.
Private en-suite rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus shower and toilet facilities solely for the people in your room.
Camping is sold per person. During the booking process, you will need to select the number of people who you wish to camp.
Campers can spend a night under the North Yorkshire starry sky in the grounds of this former flax mill. An ideal stop for ‘Coast to Coast’ or ‘Cleveland Way’ walkers because both routes meet in Osmotherley. The camping area is an excellent choice for families with plenty to do in the local area.
Guests are welcome to use the hostel's facilities each day until 21:30 including the self-catering kitchen, cafe, lounges and drying room. Campers also have 24-hour access to a kitchenette and bathroom.
Parking is available in the main hostel car park, as well as in the five extra spaces for campers at the side of the building. Both less than 100m away from camping area.
Campfires are strictly prohibited. Noise to be kept to a minimum after 22:30. There is a well stocked shop on site next door. Campers are not permitted to bring their own alcohol on site but can use the hostel bar.
