Accommodation at YHA Ingleton

Bed in a shared room

Dorm rooms have multiple beds and are shared with other people who may not be travelling together. They are usually more affordable than private rooms as you'll be booking a bed rather than the whole room.

A typical shared dorm room includes bunk beds, a reading light and a storage cupboard for each guest.

Children aged between 12 and 15 can stay in dorm rooms as long as an adult of the same gender accompanies them.

Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room. None of our dorm rooms have en-suite facilities.

Private rooms

Want some privacy? With a private room, you'll be booking the whole room for your stay.

Private rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus a wash hand basin.

Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room.

Private en-suite rooms

For added privacy, relax with your family, friends or by yourself in a private en-suite room.

Private en-suite rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus shower and toilet facilities solely for the people in your room.

Hire the whole place

History

Ingleton and the surrounding area was settled in the Iron Age by the Brigantes who built a hill fort on top of Ingleborough with walls a kilometer in circumference. The Romans defeated the Brigantes in battle and built a fort alongside the hill fort. The valley was crossed by Roman roads as Ingleton was a strategic river crossing. By the 12th century the Normans had built a church in the village.

Meet the team

We are a small, friendly team. Lisa oversees the day to day running of the hostel whilst you will be welcomed at check in by Paul, Nigel and Sarah. All with a love of the outdoors and full of knowledge and recommendations for great walking and biking routes in the area and recommendations of lovely places to visit, eat and drink at!

Manager recommends: Set yourself the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge taking in the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours – the perfect way to experience the beautiful countryside the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.
