Dales Countryside Museum
The Dales Countryside Museum shows the Yorkshire Dales way of life and explores traditions long gone, including lead mining, knitting, and cheese making.
Situated in beautiful upper Wensleydale, YHA Hawes is just a couple of minutes' walk from the centre of Hawes, England's highest market town. There are great walking and cycling routes straight from the door and this part of the Yorkshire Dales is particularly rich in waterfalls, including Hawdraw Force.
In addition to the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, local attractions include the famous Wensleydale Creamery visitor centre, home of Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese, and the Dales Country Museum with exhibitions and activities all year round.
Discover the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales with a stay at YHA Hawes. This hostel sits just a couple of minutes away from Hawes – England’s highest market town.
From epic waterfalls like Hawdraw Force to the magical Red Squirrel trail, the Yorkshire Dales is packed with things to do.
