YHA Haworth

Keighley, BD22 8RT
YHA Haworth

Overview

YHA Haworth is a Victorian Gothic mansion that was built as the family home of a local mill owner. Inside the building the sweeping staircase, ornate painted glass, richly carved oak and plaster friezes hint at the building’s opulent past.

The hostel is well used by groups but it is also very popular with individuals, families and overseas travellers. We're ideally situated for backpackers travelling around the Hebden Bridge and Todmorden areas, and of course, the village is best known as home of the Bronte sisters.

Meet the team

Our dedicated team, many of whom are local to Haworth, are on hand and happy to offer you the best advice and guidance to really appreciate this stunning location. Not only is Haworth famous for its vast and stunning landscapes which influenced the iconic Bronte Family but the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2018, which runs steam trains on a daily basis through summer and is a must for steam enthusiasts!

Managers recommendations: With excellent transport links to Leeds, Bradford and Halifax you can really get out and about exploring the local areas and the manager recommends Hebden Bridge as a quirky little town to visit, it has built a reputation for "great little shops" and has an unusually high density of independent shops for a UK town of its size with more than 20 cafes and tea rooms, and about 20 pubs, micro pubs and restaurants so you certainly wont be bored. There really is something for everyone at YHA Haworth!
