We also offer great accommodation in the North West's towns and cities, including Manchester, Liverpool and Carlisle. The North West has some of the most spectacular countryside in all the UK, with one of its most celebrated national parks - the Lake District - occupying a sizeable portion. Family breaks in the Lake District can involve anything from walking and cycling to sailing, kayaking and climbing: its verdant forests, open waters and craggy peaks really offer something for everybody. Some of England's largest and most historic cities are also found in the North West. Liverpool and Manchester, two major hubs of culture, industry and innovation, make fantastic city breaks for families with their wealth of museums, attractions and shopping centres.
