YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor consists of two buildings - a recently converted, arts and crafts detached house and a beautiful, converted hunting lodge - making it the ideal accommodation for individuals, families, and groups alike.

Okehampton provides easy access to the park's moors and lakes, perfect for walkers.
On-site activities include archery, high ropes, orienteering and more, while off-site venues offer rock-climbing, canoeing and themed watersports. Programmes are tailored to enhance group learning and individual growth, accommodating diverse needs. The hostel ensures inclusivity, providing accessible adventures for all.
Most of our bedrooms are dormitory style rooms with bunk beds. We always try to allocate bedrooms close together and will never ask your group to share bedrooms with anyone not in your group.
Upgrades are available for sole use of an area, floor or the entire place.
Groups can make themselves at home in our meeting spaces and dining area. Free WiFi is available too.
With tasty breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals, groups are sure to find something delicious to eat at YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor.
Meal plans range from bed and breakfast up to full-board catering. Vegetarian options are available and we aim to cater for any special dietary requests.

Reception opening hours: From 08:00 - 10:00 and 16:00 - 20:00 (until 22:00 during school holidays).
Food and drink: Breakfast is served to guests daily. Evening meals are also available.
Self-catering: Guests have access to a self-catering kitchen.
Parking: There is parking at the hostel.
WiFi: Free WiFi is available in shared social spaces.
Dogs: Pets are not permitted at YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor, except when hiring the whole hostel through YHA Exclusive Hire. Assistance dogs are welcome - please notify us at the time of booking.

We have limited volunteering opportunities throughout the year and often have work experience students for four to eight week placements. In winter there is the possibility to work on the buildings and in the summer we have opportunities to work with the catering, housekeeping or grounds maintenance teams.
