How to get here

By car: From the east: leave the A30 at Okehampton junction and follow the road for about one mile into the town. At the third set of traffic lights, on a crossroads junction, turn left following the signs to Okehampton Station and Youth Hostel. After 200m, take the third turning right up Station Road. Follow this road, passing over the railway bridge and A30. There is a small turning on the right, after the dual carriageway, which leads to an unmade road to YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor. Large coaches will not find this easy to access, seek advice from our managers for large groups arriving by coach. Do not use the postcode for GPS SatNav as it may try to direct you up an access road for emergency vehicles only. Set your SatNav for Okehampton town centre and once there, use the postcode.

By train: Okehampton train station is within walking distance (0.7 mile) from YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor. When leaving the train station, head west towards Klondyke Road and continue straight across onto Parklands. Turn left onto Tor road, up the hill over the two bridges. Just after the second bridge turn right and follow the road to the end to YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor.

By bus: From Exeter Railway Station take X9/510 Bus service to Okehampton town centre and then follow the directions above to the hostel.
