Acton Scott Working Farm Museum
A fascinating insight into rural life at the turn of the 19th century with daily demonstrations of period skills.
This beautifully restored water mill in the Shropshire village of Clun retains much of its rustic, industrial charm, with exposed beams, stripped timber floors and old machinery still in place, giving the hostel plenty of character.
This rural retreat is now a great base for visitors on walking and cycling holidays, looking to explore the unspoilt landscape, hill forts, castles and picturesque market towns nearby.
This Youth Hostel has a selection of dorm beds, private rooms and en-suite rooms as well as camping. There is space for 23 people in total. There are comfortable social areas in the hostel where you can relax with a good book or challenge your family to one of our boardgames. The open plan living and dining space contains a table and comfortable seating, perfect for self-catering guests to eat, and great for relaxing. There is also a wood burning stove which you can cosy up in front of during the colder winter months. YHA Clun Mill is a self-catering only hostel and has a small but fully equipped self-catering kitchen situated within the hostel with a separate self-catering kitchen for camping guests. There is also a BBQ pit which is perfect for use over summer. The village has shops where guests can buy provisions and there are three pubs and a cafe if guests fancy eating out.

Manager recommends: Don't miss the original mill workings that have been beautifully preserved throughout the hostel - take a mini tour and discover how everything used to work. Just sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet in the heart of the Welsh Marches, or get out and explore the nearby hill forts and castles as part of your walking or cycling break.
