Health and wellbeing
The walk is organised and led by a professional wellbeing team, including qualified mountain leaders, coaches and counsellors. You will enjoy a guided walk through the Lake District countryside, with mindfulness activities, group reflection sessions and opportunities to connect with others in a safe and supportive environment. The walk is designed to help people improve their wellbeing through walking, nature connection, human connection and access to professional support.
The walk is based at Grasmere, a village associated with William Wordsworth and a place he once described as "the most loveliest spot that man hath found". We will start and finish at YHA Grasmere and head towards Loughrigg Terrace, where there are lovely views of the lakes and surrounding area. There will be stops for mindfulness and a lunch stop before heading back to YHA Grasmere for tea and cakes to finish.
