Social walk from YHA Okehampton

View of Dartmoor

Overview

Saturday 13th September 2025

Distance: 7.7 miles (12.4 km)

Duration: 4 hours

Led by: Adventure Okehampton

This guided circular walk from YHA Okehampton takes you along a lovely river valley and up on to the wild moorland of Dartmoor National Park. There are various prehistoric remains and great views from Belstone Tor, made famous by a 1973 film called ‘The Belstone Fox’ about a hand-reared fox cub. The circular walk has some steep and narrow sections beside the river and is across high and exposed moorland.
