Discovery and connection

Starting at YHA Cheddar, this route will take place in and around Cheddar Gorge. This walk is of medium difficulty with some steep paths and rocky crags.

This walk is being hosted by Mendip Adventure in collaboration with the Mendip Hills National Landscape and led by their nature ranger, Nathan Orr. During the walk, you will learn about nature recovery efforts in the Mendip Hills and how It’s helping the area’s champion species such as the Cheddar pink, adder, black oil beetle, skylark and small pearl-bordered fritillary butterfly.
