The Strange and The Beautiful

The Strange and The Beautiful at Sunset Sessions

Overview

This Devon-based seven piece, combines guitars, keyboard, bass, drums and cello with the sometimes soulful, sometimes soaring, but never boring vocals of Alice Louise.

Formed in 2014, this genre-bendre band of musicians are regulars in Devon’s music scene and they are making quite a name for themselves in the South West. This summer sees them in demand once again, performing at a string of local festivals across the South-West, with their eclectic mix of red-eyed soul, fruit-salad-ballads, alt-mock-rock and blues-tinged bangers.

Away from the glare of the stage lighting, the band’s demo recordings are regularly featured on local radio’s stations as well as BBC Introducing. With new songs constantly under development, the band’s repertoire continues to grow, as does their fan base.
