Duration: 3.5 - 4.5 hours

Discovery and connection

Starting and finishing at YHA Hartington Hall, this is a great White Peak walk through the upper Dove Valley with stunning views along the way. We visit the interesting ruins of Pilsbury Castle, built in a motte and bailey style, then cross the River Dove via an old footbridge, before heading south through fields and returning to Hartington via the famous cheese shop and village pond. Note that there are quite a few stiles along the way!
