Mountain Biking in Holmbury

Where to go:

Rogate Forest

Rogate Downhill is a MTB, DH, freeride site in Rogate in Chichester. It's a true local project that has developed organically over the last few years into an official track with a formal AGM and club structure.

Where: Coombe Hill, Surrey, GU31 5DL

The DH Trails

There are four or five short downhill runs with a selection of drops, berms and jumps with progressive levels for all abilities. The terrain is quite sandy and so dries pretty fast. For the more advanced riders there are big road gaps, drops, steep technical runs and large doubles. The tracks are in two sections, separated by a fire road. The top section is steep and technical with the odd smoother run thrown in. The main line starts with a 6ft drop into a berm followed by several twists and turns that spit you out into the big tables at the end.

Prices: £4 day rate online/£6 on the day. £45 Annual membership. £69 Full annual membership.

Wisley Dirt Jumps

Wisley Dirt Jumps is one of the South East’s top dirt jump venues, forming part of the famous Surrey trail triangle. Annual membership is required to ride at this popular dirt jump venue which has an annual jam and friendly community. It is more suitable for intermediate to advanced level riders rather than beginners. There is also some XC riding around.

Where: Wisley, near Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QD

Redlands Trails

Redlands Trails are based near Dorking, and boast some fine graded XC trails to ride. Downhillers will prefer the nearby Leith Hill to get their fix as the DH trails are limited here.
