A couple cycling in the countryside

Cyclists Welcome

At YHA you’ll find unique and historic buildings perfectly positioned for some of the best cycling trails and tracks all over England and Wales. You’ll find somewhere to wash the mud off your bike (and yourself) and somewhere safe to store it. With thousands of miles of cycle routes, it has never been easier to explore England and Wales on two wheels.

Because of our locations and facilities, many of our hostels have been awarded the Cyclists Welcome badge by Visit England. This recognises our commitment to providing you with somewhere great to stay while cycling.

The UK-wide Cyclists Welcome scheme gives cyclists confidence that they’re booking quality accommodation that meets their needs. This includes our fantastic facilities which we are continuing to invest in, our food provisions where you can choose from freshly prepared meals or self-cater, and our well informed staff – if you want to know details of cycle hire, recommended routes or the weather forecast, all you have to do is ask.

YHA is proud to have been awarded the Cyclists Welcome badge by VisitEngland for many of our hostels. The scheme means that you can rest assured that our hostels provide cyclists with good quality accommodation and facilities that meet their particular needs.
