Introductory Climbing

This one day course is suitable for the complete novice: An ideal way to safely learn all the basics of climbing and abseiling. Basic rope work and belaying, gear selection and use are all covered with plenty of time to put theory into practice. We have our own outdoor climbing wall allowing development of new skills on site. The 8 metre high wall offers opportunities to practise approaching overhangs, lay-backing and slab routes. This allows us to offer a linear development of skills starting on the wall and progressing to the rock face.

£60 per person for the activity day.

Family Rock Day

This one day course is suitable for families looking for more than a taster session, and is a full day on the Dartmoor Tors. Intermediate Climbing

For those with some limited outdoor climbing experience, this course focuses on the skills and techniques required to lead climbs. Small group ratios, qualified instructors and a number of suitable venues enable the first lead to be conducted in a controlled learning environment that maximises input and maintains confidence.
