This former hunting lodge was built in 1817 and remained in private hands until after World War II when it was sold to YHA and has been used as a youth hostel ever since. The castle-esque building is impressive in structure and design and is built around a central courtyard.
Manager recommends: For a more relaxed walking holiday, take a beautiful walk along the river and meander back through the picture postcard village of Reeth.
