Set in the south east of the Brecon Beacons National Park, YHA Llangattock Mountain Bunkhouse offers doorstep access to ancient woodlands, rare marshland, wildflower meadows, Llangattock caves and cliffs, and excellent mountain walks. Blenaevon World Heritage site is a short distance away.
YHA Llangattock Mountain Bunkhouse takes its carbon footprint very seriously and has been graded Gold by the Green Tourism Business Scheme. The hostel has previously been awarded a Goldstar for Greenest Hostel/Bunkhouse in the UK, so rest assured you’ll be doing your bit while you stay.
Dorm rooms have multiple beds and are shared with other people who may not be travelling together. They are usually more affordable than private rooms as you'll be booking a bed rather than the whole room.
A typical shared dorm room includes bunk beds, a reading light and a storage cupboard for each guest.
Children aged between 12 and 15 can stay in dorm rooms as long as an adult of the same gender accompanies them.
Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room. Some of our shared dorm rooms are en-suites, meaning that they have a bathroom that you would share with other guests who are also staying in the room.
Want some privacy? With a private room, you'll be booking the whole room for your stay.
Private rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus a wash hand basin.
Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room.
For added privacy, relax with your family, friends or by yourself in a private en-suite room.
Private en-suite rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus shower and toilet facilities solely for the people in your room.

The bunkhouse owner is a trustee of a large range of charities and not-for-profits in the area and can suggest a wide range of environmental volunteering opportunities if required.
The bunkhouse is set high up in the mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park. This is the precise location described in Alexander Cordells Rape of a Fair Country and is positioned on the borders of the Blaenavon World heritage site, The Clydach Gorge.
Manager recommends: For a different activity break, try caving at Llangattock Hillside - the largest network of caves in Europe. We can put you in touch with caving instructors, so there's no excuse!
