If you want to get away from it all for an outdoor activity break, YHA Dartmoor is the perfect spot. The hostel is surrounded by the open moorland and forest of Dartmoor National Park, with easy access to a network of off-road routes for walking and cycling holidays.
YHA Dartmoor is a comfortable, child-friendly, rural retreat which boasts cosy features including a woodburner and exposed stone walls. The famous Dartmoor ponies often pay the hostel a visit from the nearby open moorland – always a favourite with visiting children.
There are 35 beds with a selection of private rooms and dorm beds at YHA Dartmoor. This comfortable rural retreat is perfect for family breaks and getting away from it all. YHA Dartmoor is packed full of character with exposed stone walls, and plenty of comfy furniture to relax on.
These brand new Landpods, upgraded for 2019, are fully waterproof and sleep up to four adults. They are slightly elevated off the ground for a comfortable night’s sleep under the stars – you can even open the roof for a better view! With LED lighting these cosy pods include all beds and bedding. There is a table, bench and BBQ firepit outside so you can make the most of the great outdoors and dine al fresco.
The new larger Landpod sleeps up to 4 people, on two small double mattresses (one above the other) and a single futon mattress, which doubles up as the seating area. They’re even tall enough to stand up in!
Please note that there is no heating in our Landpods.
Camping is available from £5 per person per night.
Our small but practical camping area is great for weekend getaways in the great outdoors. The hostel facilities are right on the doorstep and campers have access to them 24 hours a day. Campfires are strictly prohibited on the campsite.
