Accommodation at YHA Coverack

Bed in a shared room

Dorms are not currently available.

Dorm rooms have multiple beds and are shared with other people who may not be travelling together. They are usually more affordable than private rooms as you'll be booking a bed rather than the whole room.

A typical shared dorm room includes bunk beds, a reading light and a storage cupboard for each guest.

Children aged between 12 and 15 can stay in dorm rooms as long as an adult of the same gender accompanies them.

Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room. None of our dorm rooms have en-suite facilities.

Private rooms

Want some privacy? With a private room, you'll be booking the whole room for your stay.

Private rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus a wash hand basin.

Shared shower and toilet facilities are located near to the room.

Private en-suite rooms

For added privacy, relax with your family, friends or by yourself in a private en-suite room.

Private en-suite rooms typically include a storage cupboard and reading light for each bed, plus shower and toilet facilities solely for the people in your room.

Premium bell tents

Our spacious bell tents are fully kitted out with a double bed and three single futons and can sleep up to 5 people with all bedding included.

There is eco-friendly solar lighting and comfy bean bags for you to chill out on during the day, plus a coffee table and rugs. Premium bell tents also have the addition of a woodburner to keep you cosy. BBQ fire pits are not available at this hostel, though there is a stone base where guests can use their own barbecue.

There are two premium bell tents at YHA Coverack, available to book for stays from June to September. Guests have full use of the hostel's facilities, plus a seperate shower and toilet block.

Pitch-up camping

Camping is sold per person and not per pitch. During the booking process, you will need to select the number of people who you wish to camp.

Come and camp in this beautiful 100-year-old orchard. Stay for a few days and enjoy walks along the famous South West Coast Path, discovering secluded coves and spectacular beaches on your way.

There is room for up to 35 people in small tents. Due to the size of our orchard site, we can only accept small tents (up to a maximum of four-person dome tents). This site is suitable for use by both families and organised groups.

Guests have access to the hostel's facilities, including a washing machine and drying room which is great for drying off wetsuits. There are also some dedicated facilities for campers, including toilets and showers. There is a stone base where guests can use their own barbecue. Campfires are strictly prohibited.

The campsite is open from March until October. During busy periods, the tents are quite close together - this just gives the site a festival atmosphere! The site is slightly sloping.

History

Originally a guesthouse from as far back as 1901, YHA Coverack was opened by YHA in early 1976 with an official opening a year later.

In 2010, the hostel underwent a large refurbishment with many bedrooms having en-suites built. There were also improvements to the social and kitchen areas.

Meet the team

Manager recommends: Visit us in April and May and enjoy the long, peaceful days in spectacular surroundings. Best of all you can experience the beautiful spring flower display along the South West coast path. In Summer explore the family friendly beaches and then head back to the hostel for a BBQ. Relax and enjoy your meal while overlooking the sea and beautiful coastline.
