At 8:30pm on Saturday 19th March, 5 of our hostels will be turning off their lights and non-essential electricals for Earth Hour. YHA Hartington Hall is a treasure in itself - a Jacobean manor with an atmosphere to die for. It may be steeped in history, but this glorious building is bursting with things to do.

The hostel sits in the middle of three Peak District towns, hosts its own music and beer festival, and has cycling routes from the doorstep. Or if you're planning to tie the knot, we make a magnificent wedding venue for a great price.

Home to a great bar and staff who know the fells inside out, we've been welcoming hostellers since 1939. Whether you're tackling Scafell Pike or joining our outdoor activities, our riverside location is bound to inspire. Come play in the hills!

New bathrooms at YHA London Earl's Court

New bathrooms at YHA London Earl's Court

We are currently undergoing refurbishment of the bathrooms at YHA London Earl’s Court - so there'll be shiny new showers and toilets to greet you next time you stay! However, it has come to light that the extent of the work required to ensure the quality of the facilities we provide is significantly larger than originally anticipated and for health and safety reasons, we are now going to have to close the hostel throughout February 2016 whilst the work is completed.

What you can do with an old barn and some imagination?

At YHA we're lucky to have passionate and imaginative managers, who continually try to deliver a unique guest experience and tell a story at the same time. YHA Castleton Losehill Hall has one such manager - Al - delivering amazing experiences for groups of young people all year round. He can now add to this a lovely camping barn he has created for guests to hire and enjoy.
