On Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September 2016 we’re throwing open our doors once more and hosting a series of special events across England and Wales to celebrate the work of our charity, Breaks for Kids, and to showcase what YHA is all about!
For over 85 years, YHA has been inspiring all, especially young people, to broaden their horizons and to gain knowledge and independence through new experiences of adventure and discovery.
From seeing the sea for the very first time to climbing a mountain, YHA helps so many young people to do amazing things every single year.
At YHA Day last year, nearly 4,000 people visited their local YHA and joined in the party, helping us to celebrate and say thank you to our local communities for their continued support. As well as bringing fun and highlighting our work with young people, YHA Day 2015 raised almost £6,000 for Breaks for Kids!
This year we’re offering Pop-Up Shops – where you can pick up some pre-loved threads at charity shop prices – and Garden Parties, which feature live music, family activities and all the fun and feel of a summer fete.
YHA Day is our chance to say thanks to all our supporters. There'll be a warm welcome offered everywhere and an open invitation to explore many of our remarkable hostel buildings and their grounds.
Come and check out a FREE YHA Day near you and see what you can discover!
