I love the outdoors and adventure and I am constantly looking for a new challenge. As a child, I loved spending time outdoors at the beach and the countryside. I have always longed to experience different cultures both around the world and within the UK. This passion for adventure has seen me complete charity events including a walking marathon. I love activities that put me out of my comfort zone – I completed a sky dive just a couple of weeks after my 18th birthday!

I am a sociology undergraduate, and I hope to bring a sociological perspective to the team. The skills that I have learnt during my studies has sparked a passion to advocate for change, especially for young people and for those born into disadvantage and face adversity. I believe that it is important to face issues with a positive attitude and to be optimistic about the world around us.

I share YHA’s belief that where you go shapes the person that you are. I am passionate about equality of opportunity for adventure and travel for all young people. Too often, the lives and experiences of children and young people are limited due to financial and familial circumstance. I want to advocate for change that ensures that all young people are afforded the same opportunities and experiences. I hope to achieve work that targets the prominent mental health crisis amongst our generation and aims to improve the mental wellbeing of all who work with YHA in the future.
