Our partners and owners at Wilderhop Manor, the National Trust, have generously given YHA Wilderhope Manor an entirely new roof this winter. Due to unforeseen complexities in the maintenance of such a historic and protected building, there is still some ongoing work on site. At this stage, all major construction jobs have been completed and we are now in the stages of removing the extensive scaffolding required and making good the minor damage to the affected garden space. This is not linked to the recent refurbishment at the hostel, which was completed in 2012. There should be no negative impact on your stay but obviously the first impression of what you see will probably look a lot different to the website pictures.
We sincerely apologise for any convenience caused by these works, and should you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
Visit YHA's stunning, Grade I listed Elizabethan manor in the heart of the Shropshire countryside which had a £500,000 refurbishment to bring it bang up to date in 2012. Perfect for family breaks, great for walking and ideal for functions and weddings, the Manor has been tastefully restored with the exquisite Bridal Suite complete with 4-Poster Bed & roll-top bath, being the jewel in the crown of this refined hostel. The hostel is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and boasts a newly converted fully equipped conference & meeting space. In essence whether you're looking for a countryside retreat, school residential or even your dream wedding venue, Wilderhope gives you a truly unforgettable experience in an historic setting with all the facilities you would expect from a 21st Century hostel.
