Towels are not supplied. They are available to hire from reception for £2 (+ £5 deposit) or please bring your own. Bedding is supplied.
There is free parking 200 metres from hostel and a drop off point closer to the entrance.
Pets are not permitted at YHA Grasmere Butharlyp Howe. Assistance dogs are welcome.

By car: Please be aware that the A591 is still closed between Grasmere and Keswick. If you are driving from the north, we recommend leaving the M6 at junction 36, 37 or 38. From the Grasmere bus stops, take Easedale Road. Continue for 200m to the hostel driveway on the right. Luggage can be dropped off at the main entrance, but cars must park at the beginning of the driveway. Additional parking is available in the village.
By bus: If you are traveling by bus, there is a shuttle bus running between Keswick and Grasmere, which bypasses the closure. You can then change to the regular 555 service.
By coach: The nearest coach stop is at Ambleside, four miles away. Book your coach tickets here.

YHA Grasmere provides biology and geography educational packages in association with the Field Studies Council. There is also the chance for adventure with a range of exciting outdoor activities available. This hostel accommodates 80 people whilst providing group catering and classroom facilities.
