This Arts and Crafts house with child-friendly facilities on the edge of Beer village is a great choice for cheap family holidays and school trips. For an activity break, try mackerel fishing and safe sea swimming at the nearby beach or for a real Jurassic coast holiday: fossil hunting. For walking holidays there's the nearby the South West Coastal Path.
The Youth Hostel is located on the stunningly beautiful Jurassic coast, now listed as a world heritage site. It’s great for geology, rock pools and fossil hunting walking and photography. The hostel has private grounds for you to explore and a rich quarry history, populated with local legends about smugglers and pirates.

Hand soap is provided next to all sinks. Towels are not supplied as standard but can be rented or purchased from reception. Bedding is supplied in all rooms.
Free parking is available at the hostel for up to 10 cars. We recommend car-sharing or using public transport wherever possible as parking can be limited during busy times. The driveway is steep and narrow with a hairpin turn half way up. Please note the parking directions on the car park notice board to allow access for emergency vehicles. The car park is lit throughout the night.
Dogs can stay on our campsite and in our bell tents. There is a £5 charge per dog per night for our bell tent accommodation which is payable upon arrival. You can bring your dog for free if you are camping in your own tent.
Pets are not permitted in the hostel accommodation at YHA Beer however, assistance dogs are welcome throughout, please advise upon booking.
Please note that dogs are not to be left unattended at any time within YHA accommodation, vehicles or the hostel grounds.
There is 24 hour access to the hostel after you have checked in.
