About YHA Wye Valley
YHA Wye Valley, formally Welsh Bicknor, set in 25 acres on the banks of the River Wye, is great for activity breaks or school trips, it even has it's own canoe landing station! Located in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean, close to Symonds Yat Rock, there's a course on site for orienteering holidays and there are miles of footpaths to explore for walking holidays and trails for cyclists of all levels - perfect for cheap family activity breaks. Hearty meals are served in our licensed restaurant.

Need to know
The hostel driveway is a steep unsurfaced road with a hairpin bend. If you're using Sat Nav to direct you, please enter 'Goodrich' as the hostel postcode will take you to the wrong side of the river.
Towels are not supplied. They are available to hire from reception for £2 (+ £5 deposit) or please bring your own. Bedding is supplied.

Is the hostel open every day of the year?
- Top of the list for your activity break is to paddle a canoe down the river. For something less energetic, admire the spectacular views of the forest on Coppit Hill and Symonds Yat. The hostel is a great location for walking holidays as the Wye Valley Walk runs right past the door.

YHA School Trips
YHA Wye Valley is a brilliant place to visit for an active, outdoor education-led school trip. Set in the centre of 25 acres of land on the banks of the River Wye, this hostel is primed for activity breaks - it even has its own canoe landing station! The hostel has room for up to 78 people, provides home cooked food, a library and a lounge.
