About Skiddaw Bunkhouse
This former shooting lodge and shepherd’s bothy with coal and log fires, is the highest YHA associated building in Britain. Between Skiddaw and Blencathra, it can only be reached on foot or bike. A true rural retreat for your Lake District activity break, the bunkhouse is located in the tranquil Northern Fells and on the Cumbria Way. An ideal base for walking and cycling holidays. The accommodation has no mains electricity or phone - the perfect escape for an activity break.

The nearest road is 3.5 miles from YHA Skiddaw. The bunkhouse has no mains electricity, but has solar-powered battery lighting. There are no phone or credit card facilities so please come prepared.
