About Kings
If you can't decide between a countryside or seaside break, look no further as YHA Kings is perfect for both. At the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park, the hostel will suit families, school trips and individuals alike. For activity breaks, there's pony trekking and watersports or good mountain biking if you're on a cycling holiday. Walkers looking for a weekend break in Wales can choose between a high-level hike up Cader Idris or gentle trails leading to the Mawddach Estuary, where low tide sands and woodlands are a haven for wildlife and migrant waders. Dolgellau's great for fishing holidays too. Breakfast is available and pre-booked evening meals are available for groups in our licensed restaurant.

There is no TV or mobile phone signal at the hostel, making YHA Kings a fantastic 'get away from it all' location! There's a full range of shops and amenities five miles away in Dolgellau.

- A great base for all kinds of weekend breaks in Wales. Come and walk Cader Idris straight from the hostel front door. See magnificent scenery, sandy beaches, beautiful lakes and very few people in lovely southern Snowdonia. Dolgellau is great for fishing holidays and other activity breaks too. And with large sandy beaches close by in Barmouth, it's great for seaside breaks.
