There are recycling and alternative energy breaks, as well as weekend courses on the outdoors and the environment. And you’ll certainly appreciate the environment while you’re here - in the centre of one of Britain’s largest Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is one of the highest Youth Hostels in England with magnificent views across the North Pennines landscape from the lounge.
