About Durham
Put yourself right in the heart of this medieval city, close to Durham Castle and just a few minutes walk from the historic marketplace. Founded in 1904, St Chad’s, in the shadow of the cathedral, is one of the oldest colleges in the university and provides Durham accommodation for YHA guests in the college holidays. For a day trip, visit the open air museum at Beamish, Raby Castle or Hadrian’s Wall.
