Solar panels installed across the slate roofs generate renewable energy, significantly reducing the building’s carbon footprint while blending with its architecture. Electric vehicle charging points have also been added, making it easy for guests to travel more sustainably.
Accessibility has been a key priority. The entire site has been designed to be fully inclusive, featuring a newly created accessible kitchen with adapted worktops, sinks and appliances. This allows all guests, including those with mobility needs, to prepare meals comfortably and independently.
Indoor spaces have also been refreshed. The games room has been re-decorated, preserving its ornate original features while introducing modern touches such as a pool table, foosball and comfortable seating. Meeting and conference rooms have been upgraded with high-quality equipment, making them suitable for corporate events, group gatherings and creative workshops.
Outside, the grounds have been enhanced to create welcoming social spaces. The gardens, grounds, fire-pit and picnic areas offer space for relaxation, dining and enjoying the pretty surroundings.

Literature fans rejoice! This Victorian Gothic mansion is the ultimate base for exploring the Bronte village and has stunningly beautiful décor. YHA Haworth will stick in the memory of groups and school trips, offering all the facilities they need to enjoy the area’s attractions.
As well as the cobbled streets of Haworth village and the Brontë Museum, the Keighley and Worth Valley steam train will delight history buffs. There’s also Cliffe Castle Museum, East Riddlesden Hall and the National Media Museum within reach. If your group needs a break from culture, there are plenty of local providers for adventurous rock climbing, cycling and water sports.

Most of our bedrooms are dormitory style rooms with bunk beds. We always try to allocate bedrooms close together and will never ask your group to share bedrooms with anyone not in your group.
Upgrades are available for sole use of an area, floor or the entire place.

With a cosy lounge, separate meeting rooms for study and extensive grounds, this hostel is a place to feed the imagination. It offers plenty of atmospheric spaces for groups to socialise and a games room too.

History
The Bronte sisters wrote their famous novels whilst living at the parsonage in the village. It is now an evocative museum furnished as it was in their day. The Keighley and Worth Valley steam railway passes through Haworth. The iconic film The Railway Children was filmed here.
Meet the team
Our dedicated team, many of whom are local to Haworth, are on hand and happy to offer you the best advice and guidance to really appreciate this stunning location. Not only is Haworth famous for its vast and stunning landscapes which influenced the iconic Bronte Family but the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2018, which runs steam trains on a daily basis through summer and is a must for steam enthusiasts!
Manager recommends: With excellent transport links to Leeds, Bradford and Halifax you can really get out and about exploring the local areas and the manager recommends Hebden Bridge as a quirky little town to visit, it has built a reputation for "great little shops" and has an unusually high density of independent shops for a UK town of its size with more than 20 cafes and tea rooms, and about 20 pubs, micro pubs and restaurants so you certainly wont be bored. There really is something for everyone at YHA Haworth!
