YHA Poppit Sands started fairly modestly as Sea View Cottage and has been lovingly converted over time into one of the most attractive hostels in the network. The hostel was dedicated to Flt Lieut Robin Hugh Thomas by his parents after he was killed in action in 1944. The hostel still proudly displays a plaque at the rear entrance.
Manger recommends: Mwnt is a favourite beach in the area. Spend a pleasant evening sat on top of the hill watching the sunset over Cardigan Island. Pods of dolphins regularly visit the Mwnt area, so if you're lucky you might spot these awesome animals on your family activity break.
