Description:
YHA Pen y Pass was once the haunt of Victorian climbers - George Mallory of Everest fame once stayed here on his early climbing trips to Wales. With such a prestigious history, it now makes the ideal base to ascend Snowdon and explore the surrounding mountains. The property has a full Residential Licence and its own bar open from 17.30.

Need to know:
Large Pay and Display Car Park opposite hostel FREE Overnight from approx. 5pm – 9am. Charged at £10 a day / £5 half day at other times.

Just got back from two days at Pen Y Pass, had a great time. The manager is really friendly and enthusiatic and the hostel is right at the base of miners, PYG and other trails.
