Description:

This former quarry workers’ building is in a spectacular setting at the summit of Honister Pass, a high-level route connecting the valleys of Borrowdale and Buttermere. This true mountain accommodation provides easy access to the famous high peaks of Central Lakeland - Scafell, Great Gable, Pillar, Red Pike and Dale Head, as well as many other classic walking routes. Breakfast, packed lunch and evening meals are available.

Great for:
Dedicated walkers who are at home on the hills.

The Youth Hostel is situated next to the working Honister Slate Mine.
