YHA Gradbach Mill is a comfortable hostel set in a stunning location in the Staffordshire Moorlands corner of the Peak District. Not as well knows as it’s Derbyshire neighbour this area really is an unspoiled hidden gem where you can escape the crowds found in other parts of the National Park.

Within easy reach of Manchester and the rest of the county via the west coast mainline (Macclesfield) and motorway network, Gradbach is one of the most easily acceded hostels in the peak district.

The area boasts excellent walking suitable for all abilities. For the more adventurous there are numerous opportunities for mountain biking and the local climbing at the nearby roaches is internationally renowned.

As well as the physically demanding local activities there are the more gentile such as a visit to the spa town of Buxton with its opera house, summer festivals, comedy, theatre and pavilion gardens or a trip to the traditional market town of Leek, where you will no doubt want to sample the infamous Staffordshire oatcake before tackling the numerous antique shops.

If you are visiting with the family, why not take a day out to nearby Alton Towers to really give the action packed feel to your visit. We sell discounted tickets at the hostel - a lot cheaper than buying them at the resort. Enquiries welcome.
