"The Quays" Café-Bar offers a range of pastries, snacks and delicious lattes or cappucinos with cosy seating, making it a great place to relax and chill out. YHA London Thameside also has a fully licensed bar stocked with beers, wines and soft drinks.
"The Traders Galley" Restaurant offers a good range of foods. Breakfast is free to overnight guests so you can start your day with a generous, quality, continental breakfast. Packed lunches are available to order with two sizes to choose from. In the evening our dinner menu offers a selection of starters, mains, and desserts, using fresh and locally sourced produce.
The international staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about London, YHA, and the HI Network and they look forward to helping you to get the most out of your stay in the Capital.

Local Information
YHA London Thamesside is situated in an area of London called Rotherhithe, although largely residential, the area includes a shopping centre with a 24hour supermarket and many large chain stores. There is a large sports shop, a cinema and bowling alley just down the road.
Rotherhithe is on a peninsula on the river Thames just further along from Tower Bridge and as such we are located right on the Thames path with great walks along the riverside.
YHA London Thamesside is so centrally located by the river Thames that you will be spoilt for choice on your mode of transport around the Capital. You could take a leisurely walk along the Thames path to Tower Bridge, or hire a cycle and go further into this exciting city We have a bus stop right outside the hostel which is so convenient for starting to use your value-for-money travel card with which you can explore London by all means: train, underground, DLR and bus. Close by we have two underground stations, both only about a 10 minutes walk away. Why not link up to the DLR and stand on the Meridian Line at Greenwich, or take a walk under the Thames to the Isle of Dogs! You could even take a quick ride on a river taxi to Bankside or the London Eye. The choice is yours.
