For those keen on walking, Wells also sits at the heart of the picturesque North Norfolk coastal path. It's also an ideal base from which to explore the hundreds of ancient churches for which Norfolk is famous. For history buffs, Admiral Nelson was born just a few miles up the road in Burnham Thorpe where you can enjoy a pint in his old local.
